The REO V4 was the first full redesign of the REO in a few years – the previous updates had mostly been material upgrades and tweaks. The kite was released last summer so the team have now had a lot of hours on the kite getting to know it and really test it out in different conditions and in different sizes. They point out some of the key changes in terms of design such as the wider wing tips, a reduction in material and new leading edge seam. They also explain how this has influenced the flight characteristics making the power delivery smoother and the relaunch better.
