I first spotted the Hyperlink when in Norway for the Red Bull Ragnarok. The kite was something different – a cross between a Chrono V2 and one of the open cell snowkites. I knew Dom and Stu were in town for the race and had some protos with them. Some of the Norweigan Ozone riders were having a go on the Hyperlink. A grabbeed a few snaps.

Fast forward a few months and here is the Hyperlink V1! Now officially available! The kite is a lot simpler than the Chrono or the R1. Whilst it has tonnes of performance, it is not at the cutting edge like the R1, and features a simpler bridle and lower aspect design than the Chrono. This gives it a nicer turn and still offers great lightwind performance and boosting. It is also less intimidating to those making their first moves into foil kites.

Open Cell vs Closed Cell
One of the big features is the ability to convert the kite from a 4 line closed cell design like the Chrono to a 5 line open cell system as used on our snowkites. This makes it a great crossover kite for those riding on land and snow.
